More...I am honoured to join the Department of Youth Services and Sports, J&K as Director General. Our youth represent the spirit of aspiration, resilience and change. They are not only the leaders of tomorrow but the architects of today’s progress.
At the core of our mission lies a belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to bloom—to explore their potential, to lead with confidence and to contribute meaningfully to their community and Nation. In this journey, sports serve as more than just a physical pursuit, it has become a powerful platform for social inclusion, character-building and national unity. As we look to the future, our efforts will focus on reimagining youth engagement through meaningful initiatives that reflect the needs and aspirations of young people, transforming sports development by supporting grassroots talent.
This is a time to listen, to collaborate and to act with vision. I look forward to working with every member of the department and the wider community in this shared endeavour. Let us not only serve our youth—but also learn from them. Together, we can foster a culture where sports are a way of life and youth empowerment is at the heart of our collective progress.
Anuradha Gupta, JKAS
